Mission
Summary
Regardless of company or money, I want to expose my engineer friends to new technologies that will inspire them to write cool new applications.
The long way around
I'm a technology nut. I love gadgets, I love technology, I love programming, particularly front end programming that really excites customers. And I love to communicate about all of that to my friends, which likely includes you, particularly if you are an engineer, like me. Most of my time I spend programming and making cool stuff. Another portion of my time I dedicate to, well, for lack of a better, less corporate word, my mission. That mission is to expose cool technology to my brethren engineers who all too often have their heads to far into their IDEs to look at neat new stuff.
To accomplish said mission I write articles and books, and I also do presentations. Believe me, it's not about the money. There is almost no money in writing or speaking to technical crowds. The only folks that make money in this business are people like David Pogue who teach people about how to upgrade from a VCR to a DVR. I couldn't write that type of stuff if my life depended on it.
Unlike other writers I write about all different types of technologies. My first three books; Code Generation In Action, Podcasting Hacks, and PHP Hacks. I can't imagine three titles that have less in common. It probably would make more sense for me to stick with one thing and just grind that home forever, but that would be boring. I want to write about cool new stuff. Stuff that inspires me, because it will probably inspire you too.
So if you have something really cool and new, contact me, and we can talk about working up and article, or even a book on it.
